The platform is led by Dr. Katalin Kováts, a linguist and expert in teaching methodology. Originally from Hungary and now based in the Netherlands, Dr. Kováts dedicates her time to developing the platform and teaching at large Esperanto events. Her efforts extend to teacher training initiatives, including RITE (a recognized teacher training program) and the creation of certification exams aligned with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).

In 2008, Edukado.net was honored by the World Esperanto Association (UEA) for its exceptional contributions to the advancement of Esperanto education.
